Advocacy Day

  • What HOME Advocacy Day entails:

    • A morning reception with breakfast and coffee to talk through the agenda for the day.

    • 4 meetings with Senate and Assembly offices, representing Senate and Assemblymember leadership, Chairs of key committees like Housing, Appropriations, and Local Government, and Chairs of key caucuses like the Black and Latino Caucuses (not your representative, necessarily).

      • 2 morning meetings, 2 afternoon meetings

    • A catered lunch and planning session.

    • A Happy Hour with food and drinks to take the most of our time in-person!

  • Floor session wraps up this week, and then bills will start going to committees in the second house.

      • Referred to Senate Judiciary Committee, no hearing date yet

      • HOME sponsor (Abundant Housing LA) is no longer sponsoring, so HOME is removing its coalition support position.
